GCP Associate Cloud Engineer Certification

I took GCP Associate Cloud Engineer test 2022/12/30.

This is Learning process and feeling about it.

Before starting Test

This is my profile and GCP experiences.

Position : Engineer Manager

GCP Experiences : Nothing, one of our team have to use GCP, and I need to take care one of team, uses GCP

I have experiences of AWS, but no GCP.

Preparation

I took 3 udemy courses.

GCP Associate Cloud Engineer – Google Cloud Certification	This is GCP service explanation and execution for test
GCP Associate Cloud Engineer Practice Test, LATEST Questions	There are 3 practices
GCP : Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer模擬試験問題集	There are 4 practices (only Japanese)

Actually, I’m not English native speaker, so I took my language to do more test and practices. Finally, I took a test in English.

After taking course, I started to take total 7 tests. I pass only 3 times of them. Almost all are 70% around, so some tests are required 80% so cannot pass 50%

Especially, gcloud command has a lot of varieties, so I will check cheet sheet to understand more.

Test

Can register from https://webassessor.com/googlecloud. Can select online or test cente. (Price is same, I think). I select test center.

After taking test, the result show immediately “pass” or “fail”.

After 7 – 10 days checking, (in my case, I receive after 1 day), can get certification

Feeling / How to prepare?

• Actually not much gcloud command questions
• For my case, there are a lot of Cloud Spanner questions
• Long sentences, explain what the user want to do, and select how to realise
• It takes time to read above questions
• Should learn kubernetes separately not only GKE
